Henry Yang He

Research Scientist and Team Leader (Computational Biology)

Background
Henry Yang obtained his Bachelor of Process Control and his Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering. He did postdoctoral research with University of Toronto and Northwestern University, working on various biological systems with various aspects from wetlab to modeling to data analysis to experimental design. He joined BII as a Research Scientist and Team Leader in 2003. His group is involved in data analysis of large-scale genomic data and integration of different data sets and databases for novel gene and pathway discovery.


Benjamin Yeo Boon Huat

Bioinformatics Specialist

Background
Benjamin Yeo obtained his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering in 2003 and his Master of Science in Bioinformatics in 2005 from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is currently working as a Bioinformatics Specialist in BII and his professional interests include analytical projects which encompass the employment of cross-discipline approaches (mathematical, statistical, biological or engineering-based principles) in understanding biological phenomena.


Alfred Song

Bioinformatics Specialist

Background
Alfred Song obtained his Bachelor of Computing in 2002 and his Master of Science in Bioinformatics in 2005 from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He joined BII as a Bioinformatics Specialist and is involved in developing several tools and resources designed to advance biological research. He is also involved in various research projects on gastric cancer and stem cell biology.


Danny Chuon

Senior Web Engineer (In Charge)

Background
Danny Chuon obtained his Bachelor of Computing in 2002 from National University of Singapore (NUS). He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Information Studies (Information Management) in Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He heads the Web Services Department in BII and is overall responsible for the development and maintenance of web applications and portals in various institutes within BMSI, A*STAR, and provides consultation and solutions for all web developments (corporate and scientific).
